So far so good. Down 1 lb from yesterday, down to 146. Had to take a slight break from the program yesterday as it was Liam and Roslyn’s birthday.

Roslyn’s Sick
Well, she had a high temperature of 104.5 at 1am today. Rather than give her Motrin to bring her temperature down we brought her to the ER to determine what’s going on. I felt like we couldn’t wait until Monday to see what was going on with her.
First Dr that saw her was thinking it might be a UTI because she has a fever that has no explanation. We tried to give her some water and apple juice but she wouldn’t take any.
Around 7am, another Dr came in and decided to give her an IV and to draw some blood. It was sonpainful to watch Roslyn go through that type of pain. What hurt me more was that there was nothing neither Linette nor I could do.
It’s 7:07am now, and we’ve been here since 1:30.
I’ll update later once we here something back.
Happy times ahead
Things are starting to look up in every aspect of my life, work, marriage, family, finanves, etc. Can’t help but feel that things will be much better. I can feel a really bright future ahead for al of us. Just need to block out all the negative energy that tends to surround us.
The biggest key is to keep the lines of communications open.

More snow again tonight. 3rd Snowstorm this season. I hope Linette gets home safe tonight.
7 months 10 days
it’s been 7 months and 10 days since the birth of Roslyn and Liam. Each day has been filled overwhelming joy and happiness. Every day is a learning experience, there’s been a lot of stumbling along the way, but i think that’s what parenting is about. Nobody has the right answer the first time around, and each person has their own style. Each parent needs to find their own style that fits their situation. Linette and I are still finding out what fits out family best, and I think we’ll be working on that for many years to come. It sounds like challenging task, but its a task that I think we both welcome.
Watching Roslyn and Liam grow is probably one of the most exciting things that we will ever do.

OK, so I’m a day late. We had a great time at Chuck E’ Cheese for Justin’s birthday It was also the twins’ first real appearance in public. It was nice to see the twins’ see their first cousins. Pictures to be posed on flickr shortly.

damn, the weather was bad today, rain blowing every which way. real busy day at work today. nope, i won’t divulge details here, you’ll have to ask me in person.
Thank god for a good umbrella that doesn’t flip over in the wind.
Jamba juice and good oatmeal definitely keeps me up for the day, but way too pricey.
Anyway, at least the weather got better and the commute home was fast.
Oh yeah. heard the best news today, my brother bought my dad a plane ticket to come here for Christmas to see his grand kids. yay Randy!!! Thank you so much, it means a lot to me. I’ll repay you back somehow.

its definitely the holiday season
holiday season… whatever happened to Christmas. anyway, its getting way too cold and i don’t have my heavy winter coat with me.
long day today despite me being a bit late, but still able to get my agenda done plus a few surprises.
weather report says it will get a bit nasty sometime this week.
well, i have Linette’s Christmas gift already, not wrapped, still in the UPS box, gotta put up the tree and some lights this weekend.
looks like i’ll be playing some music tonight to keep the kids quiet tonight so my Mom can get some rest. they seem to sleep better and longer with music playing. so i’m just playing some “Classic” music off of Pandora from my Roku. Which by the way is an awesome device, even more so now that they added new channels like MotionBox, flickr and Pandora. http://www.roku.com. no it’s not a plug, i just think its a a great device.
anyway, i’ve gone way off topic, more on my experiences with Karmic Koala on my HP Mini 1030NR and the Motorola Cliq in another post, just not tonight.
but before, i think i’m going to reopen up access to this blog, just need to register to comment. if i can figure that out.
busy day
such a busy today. so much cleaning, not including the daily task of caring for our children.
spent almost an hour just putting together a damn steam cleaner. but damn… the carpets are clean. maybe this is something i’ll be doing once a month. so much crud in the carpets… ugg. at least there’s no more dog pee smell, hope it stays that way. anyway, this carpet is so clean now, i’m amazed. next up is to figure out how to shine up the kitchen floor. oh yeah, i think the oriental rug needs to get replaced. its getting a bit dangerous since it’s getting frayed in a high traffic area.
i feel the need to rearrange the house, my feng shui, but i need to educate myself on it more. the house definitely needs a more positive energy in it, but it’s definitely on its way.
married life with kids is so different. time management is such a key component to managing our lives, that without it, there is no way possible that i can see anyone staying sane.
Roku recently added some channels to it’s lineup so now i can listen to Pandora, watch my TWiT shows, and some other shows that i normally watch. there’s this other subscription service call motionbox where i can add videos to it so i can watch home videos on the big screen. not sure if i want to do that or keep them on youtube. maybe youtube will make it on Roku someday, but that might be a conflict of interests. anyway, so much new tech coming out.
already bought my wife her christmas gift which will arrive on Dec 2. Should i give it to her now, or wait till Christmas. Still not sure what I want. Not sure if I want to go the Apple route, if I do I would love the new iMac 27″ hehehe, but would settle for the Barnes and Nobles Nook. I already have an HP Mini 1035NR running Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala, which I am quite happy with, except for the fact that I can’t run FileZilla because of some broken packages.
Some more tech stuff, I’ve had the T-Mobile Motorola Cliq since it’s pre-release, and I think its great, sans the battery life, does everything I need, twitter, wordpress, facebook, music, podcasts. what more can I ask for. This phone can do almost everything. With my netbook, mifi card and Cliq, i’m intrinsically connected to the interwebs. Only reason I would need a desktop for is for photo editing, and for music collection (CD) which i’m still trying to digitize, seems like an attempt in futility.
Long weekend is almost done, and i’m not looking forward to going back to work. My behavior and performance has been less than stellar, needless to say i have a lot of work to do.
