Poor little dog

So the afternoon started out ok, Liam was helping me clean up the yard.  More like playing with the leaves. It was a nice afternoon leading to a nice cool night for trick or treating.  After I was done,  I told Liam to go put on his Iron Man costume and I put on my Mickey Mouse Sorcerer’s Apprentice hat and gloves.  We were waiting on the front steps for Linette and Roslyn to come back from a birthday party.when some trick or treaters came by our neighbor’s across the street.  As usual their dog ran out across the street to say hello.

As he started to race back a black Mercedes SUV was coming down the street, I tried to go after the dog and flag the car to slow down or stop, but she did not and the poor dog went under the wheel.

I will not go into detail of what happened as it was a horrific site, and one I wish Liam didn’t have to see.

My heart goes out to our neighbors for they lost their little Hamlet way too soon.

Friday!!!

After a long and busy week, it was a nice change of pace working from home today.  Saw the kids off to school and got work with my PJ’s on 🙂

Still busy work-wise, but at least I didn’t have to deal with the aggravation of commuting.

A nice change of pace was taking a quick bike ride during my lunch break, but of course the office internet connection goes down which makes the main support person.  Just my luck.

Rounding out the evening with playing Minions Rush on the Nexus Player with the kids. So that was fun.

Long day

Work day started at 7am today. Haven’t done that in a long time, but I wanted have that extra time with guys from the Brighton office, to help with an upgrade to our DRaaS software and as well moving that client over. Needless to say, it went fairly smoothly. nothing catastrophic occurred.

Got to leave work early for all the time I put in to work, so that was nice.

So I’m here laying in bed writing this out and just about to continue reading The Hobbit.

Good fight all

Schizophrenic weather

This week started below freezing…. Fast forward to Thursday, I get leave work early and its a nice 70 degrees out 🙂
